# Organic Keywords

> Every keyword the site already ranks for on Google, with position, the ranking page, volume, difficulty and estimated traffic, plus the top pages view.

## Overview

**Keywords → Organic keywords** (`/keywords/organic`) lists every keyword the selected site ranks for on Google, from the search index rather than from your tracked list: the position, the page that ranks, search volume, difficulty, intent, the 12-month trend and the estimated monthly visits each keyword sends. Use it to see what already works, pick the keywords worth tracking, and hand the gaps to the agent.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Included on every plan, with no row limit tied to your plan: the keyword limits on the pricing page apply to position tracking on the Keywords page. The list also feeds other places: the **org** positions on the Keywords page, **Import organic keywords**, and the first keywords Sight tracks for a new site.

## How the list is refreshed

Sight pulls the keywords by estimated traffic for the site's country and language from the search index on a schedule and replaces the list; keywords the site no longer ranks for drop out. Sight pulls it for the first time right after a site is added and configured. Each refresh keeps a dated snapshot of the list.

The stamp at the right of the table shows when the list last changed.

### Weekly refresh add-on

Every plan refreshes the list every 30 days. **Refresh weekly**, at the right of the table, adds weekly refresh to your subscription for $79 a month ($758 a year on an annual plan): every site on your team refreshes every 7 days, the first pull runs right away, and today's charge is prorated for the rest of your billing period. Team owners and admins can add it; manage or remove it under **Add-ons** on the Billing page, where the unused part of the period is credited back.

## The history chart

Above the list, **Organic keywords over time** shows how many keywords the site ranked for each month, stacked by Google position: 1–3 at the bottom, then 4–10, 11–20, 21–50 and 51+. The subtitle gives the count now and the change over the range. It covers your plan's history window (six months on Starter, a year on Pro, two years on Business); the range menu at the top right offers shorter ranges, and the deeper ones carry an upgrade link. Untick a band to hide it, or **Export** the months as CSV. A Google "G" on the baseline marks a month in which Google started a confirmed ranking update; hover it for the update's name, dates and what it does. Dashed marks are the month's other events: articles published or updated, site audits and your own notes. Hover any month for every band and the total.

## The Keywords tab

One row per keyword, sorted by **Traffic** by default.

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Keyword** | The phrase. **In list** means it is already tracked on the Keywords page; **Article** means Sight has an article for it; a brand chip marks brand names. |
| **Intent** | I, N, C or T. |
| **KD** | Keyword difficulty, colored by band. |
| **Volume** | Average monthly searches. |
| **Trend** | The last 12 months of searches, with the change against the year before. |
| **Position** | Where the site ranks on Google, from the latest refresh. |
| **Change** | Positions gained or lost since the refresh before. Up is better. |
| **Traffic** | Estimated monthly visits this keyword sends to the site, from its position and search volume. |
| **URL** | The page on the site that ranks, as a link. |
| **CPC** | Hidden by default. Turn it on from the **Columns** menu. |

Filters sit above the table. The **Position** menu groups the list into **1-3**, **4-10**, **11-20**, **21-50** and **51+**, with the count in each. Then **Difficulty**, **Intent**, **Volume**, **Show** (All keywords, Not in your list, In your list, You rank, You do not rank yet, and **Hide brands**), **Words** to include or exclude words, and **Presets**: **Quick wins** (Easy or Medium keywords with 100+ searches outside your top 10), **Buyer keywords** (commercial or transactional intent), and presets you save in this browser. Filters are kept in the page URL, so a filtered view can be shared as a link. **Clear filters** resets everything.

Every row's **Actions** menu has **Write with the agent** (or **Improve the article**), **Track**, **Add to list**, **Open overview** and **Copy keyword**. Select rows for **Track N**, **Add N to list** and **Copy**. **CSV** and **Copy for AI** export whatever matches the filters.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Position 11-20** plus the **Quick wins** preset is the fastest way to a short list: keywords on page two with real volume that a better page can push onto page one. Track them, then write or improve the page with the agent.

## The Top pages tab

The same data rolled up by URL, so you can see which pages carry the site:

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Page** | A page on the site, as a link. |
| **Keywords** | How many keywords the page ranks for. |
| **Best position** | The page's highest Google position across its keywords. |
| **Top keyword** | The keyword that sends the page the most estimated traffic. |
| **Traffic** | Estimated monthly visits to the page from all its keywords. |

Up to 100 pages are shown, by traffic.

## From the list to tracking

**Track** adds a keyword to the Keywords page with its volume and difficulty already filled in, puts it in your tracking pool while there is room, and queues its first position check. Until that check lands, the Keywords page shows the organic position with an **org** tag. **Add to list** does the same and files the keyword in one of your lists. On the Keywords page, **Add keywords → Import organic keywords** takes the top 50 by traffic in one go.

## Frequently asked questions

> [accordion] Why are there fewer keywords than I expected?
>
> The list holds every organic keyword the index knows for the site in the chosen country and language, by traffic. A newer or smaller site simply ranks for fewer. Check the country and language on **SEO Suite → Overview** if the site serves another market.

> [accordion] Why does the position here differ from the Keywords page?
>
> This page comes from a search index, refreshed on a schedule; the Keywords page runs its own Google checks on your plan's cadence for the keywords you track. Treat this list as the map and the Keywords page as the regular reading.

> [accordion] Does the page show keywords the site lost?
>
> No. A keyword that dropped out of the index leaves the list at the next refresh. The **Change** column shows movement for keywords still on the list.

> [accordion] Why do some keywords carry a brand chip?
>
> The chip marks searches that contain your own brand name or a competitor's, so you can tell brand traffic from the rest. **Hide brands** in the **Show** menu removes them from the view.

> [accordion] Can I export the list?
>
> Yes. **CSV** downloads every row that matches the current filters and position range, and **Copy for AI** copies the same rows as a Markdown table to paste into ChatGPT, Claude or a document.
